You Won’t Believe The WILDEST Backwoods Stories with Uncle Ted | Rugged & Ruthless EP 7
We’re back in the woods, right where I grew up, talking about everything from wild bonfire nights to hunting trips, old family traditions, and all the things that made this place home. Uncle Ted (who’s not really my uncle, but close enough) has been around for as long as I can remember, stirring up trouble, handing out questionable advice, and making sure we always had a good story to tell.
This episode is a deep dive into the kind of childhood that most people wouldn’t believe unless they lived it. From hayrides gone wrong and shotguns that left bruises, to fireworks lighting up the night in ways they definitely weren’t supposed to, we cover it all. There were late nights spent out in the fields, a few near-misses with things that could have gone way worse, and plenty of lessons learned the hard way.
Hunting and the outdoors played a huge role in shaping who we are. Whether it was sneaking off into the woods, testing out new ways to catch catfish, or just escaping the noise of everything else, being out here was the best kind of freedom. And of course, Ted never missed a chance to egg us on—whether that meant pushing our limits with fireworks, leading us into a hunting story that we weren’t quite ready for, or officiating a wedding that turned into a night we’d never forget.
There’s something about this place that never changes. Even now, when life moves faster and everyone’s got their own responsibilities, coming back here still feels like hitting reset. The trails, the stories, the ridiculous stunts we pulled—it’s all still here, just waiting for another round.
Big thanks to Duck Blind Mafia for keeping us geared up, and to Punchline Productions for making sure this all comes together. And as always, respect to our first responders, military, and all those who serve—this one’s for you.
Grab a drink, settle in, and let’s take a trip down memory lane.
